RE: New crab look alike limnos
Well, in that case Your best is not that bad. That is Neorhynchoplax dentata, but this crab species is a marine one. I would doubt that it could survive in freshwater – but obviously it does? Or it is a new species which is a relative from N. dentata but lives in freshwater.
The known freshwater Hymenosomatidae are Elamenopsis kempi (Iraq, introduced to Panama), Elamenopsis introverta (China), Elamenopsis inermis (Palau Islands), Amarinus pilosus (New Caledonia), Amarinus lacustris (Australia, New Zealand), Amarinus angelicus (Papua New Guinea), Amarinus wolterecki (Philippines), Limnopilos naiyanetri (Thailand) and Cancrocaeca xenomorpha (Sulawesi).
