New species?

Geosesarma sp. from Singapure. It looks like bicolor but have brownish eyes and more round carapax.

THX for sharing this with us! Yes, looks a little different. You are from Singapore yourself, aren't You? So You could maybe ask Prof. Peter Ng at Raffles Museum or one of his students or colleagues himself. There is nobody on the world who could tell better. You know hwchoi from www.aquaticquotient.com, do You? AFAIK he works at Raffles. I would send him a PN or Email and ask him for help.

I don't know another species which is that similar to G. bicolor and G. sp. "blue".

no I am not from Singapore, but form Russia :-)
Thank you for advice I hope that prof. Ng and his students can help us with ID of this and other species.

For example, I find some strange examplares among G. bicolor. Some of them has orange-red claws and upper side colors, but other with violet claws and orange backs, so I have 2 suggestions what is this. 1 - this is another species which can hybridise with bicolor, 2- this is local form of bicolor.

This crabs looks very much like http://www.panzerwelten.de/forum/thread-2283.html but it seems that crab from 1,2 picture is not same that crabs from pics 3 and 4. What do you think?

Hm, the coloration is mostly not very useful in taxonomy. Also there seem to be Geosesarma species which tend to be very different in coloration. It's very hard to determine a species of these little crabs without specimen, just with photos. We don't have keys for all of the over 50 species of the genus Geosesarma either.

From coloration only Your specimen remember of course of G. bicolor, just with different eyes. This may well be since we had single crabs with other eye color. And our G. sp. "orange" got totally different colors since when we became them. Hard to say.
